Great Screen, but way to big

Posted on: January 5th, 2014 by Jim Devlin

User for 2 months now. I was an iphone user for some time then switch to Galaxy S3. It was not hard to use android vs ios7 and I am 61. Iphone screen for my eyesight is just to small, so the Note 3 tempted me and I purchased it. I love how thin it is, but I ruin that with an otterbox case. Have to protect Iphone is perfect for my wife since she has small hands. My problem is, when the phone rings, is it is very hard to get out of my pocket or jacket before they hang up or it goes to voice mail. To solve that issue, I usally lay it on my desk or lay it on the car console. Pain though when I am out shopping. The phone has many features as you all know, I just have not found a reason to use them, not even the S-pen. I am not an exec or Lawyer nor do I work on Wall Street, which I am sure is amazing for them to use. Other then easier to see the screen, which again I love, it is a waste for the average user to own. The call quailty appears to be not as good on this phone as well for some reason. I have determined that a phone the size of the Galaxy S4 is just about the perfect size. It fits in your pocket and has many features as well. As far as the war between android users and iphone users, there is really not much difference using the two. Widgets, not many people I know use them anyway. I only use the one for weather and time. I bought this phone with the AT&T next plan, so I think if Apple makes a device the same size as the Galaxy S3 or S4, I will switch back. I just feel like the OS7 is smoother to use. Bottom line, if you need a phone for business the Note 3 is amazing but if you work in a different field or line of work and have pretty good eyesight, try the S-4 or other 4 or 4 7/8 size device out there.

Best of the best...

Posted on: December 30th, 2013 by TC Furkan Cem

Love everything about it, but the best feature is the S-pen. My phone has completely replaced all types of planners, post-its, agendas and calenders and has saved me a lot of clutter. The built in notebook is wonderful and I usually use it write my notes now instead of paper. Sketchbook for Galaxy is also a cool built in app (for drawing with the s-pen) that I thought was a nice touch in addition to the other s-pen apps. Other nice things include the battery life, which lasts though more than a day under moderate use, and the expandable memory. It comes with 32 gb built in which is pretty good but the sd card option makes it even better.

ou're not getting the Note 3 for real. You've been bad mouthing about it against your imaginary iPhone 5s and 6.Now you plan to pretend having it in this thread to tell us how bad it is. And you won't get an iPad for serious work. You get yourself a decent laptop running windows 8 or at least a Microsoft Surface Pro 2.

Awesome

Posted on: December 25th, 2013 by Arif Ahmad

To put the Note 3 in one word in awesome . This phone doesn't break a sweat at anything I throw at it and stuttering , while occasionally happens , is easily forgiven due to the full HD display , the screen is gorgeous , watching videos a real pleasure .The screen was a little big at first glance but I got used to it , the textured back really feels nice and is not 'tacky' as some people call it , it indeed gives a premium feel , Multi-tasking abilities and awesome Camera and video-taking software makes this a real beast . Only disappointments are low-light photography , the phone takes less than stellar photos here , Battery life while still great was not as good as the Note 2 , but still forgivable ( The Note 2 has 720p display ) , Touchwiz which looks great and adds a pleathora of cool features , bogs the phone down , its really painful to see the phone stutter even with a powerful S800 processor , lagging , albeit occasionally , on the Note 3 . These features are great for ads but really unneccessary for real-world use , features like Smart-scroll and Smart-pause were buggy and didn't always work . In conclusion , the Note 3 is a beast and well-worth an upgrade from any phone that you are thinking of letting go , the gripes aren't really that huge and I can live with them , every piece of tech has its downsides , so the Note 3 definitely will be able to last as a great premium offering from Samsung .

Best phone period!¡

Posted on: December 23rd, 2013 by Jason Cole Sr.

This is the most amazing phone I have ever owned and would recommend it to anyone looking for the ultimate in mobile experience. Lightning fast wait seconds not minutes for page's and apps to load. There isn't anything about this phone that isn't completely awesome . And not to mention the best accessories any phone could get.
