Galaxy s8 active. .

Posted on: April 5th, 2018 by Justin Stookey

So you hear the name active being in a phone name and automatically you assume "wow this phone must be able to take a beating. I was hooked. At first it was great. Everything worked fine, only modification was eliminating the not so saught after bixby. Im not new to the galaxy phones iv had them since the galaxy s3. Iv had this phone for about 4 months. If you actually live an active lifestyle dont waste your time getting the galaxy s8 active. The second any dust or depris get on the charging port your phone will take a wopping 19hr to charge. I mean WTF even iPhone doesny have issues like that. Samsung. Im very dissappointed it seems you guys just throw shit together now not testing anything. Seriously why not just put a protecting door on the port, especially if you claim to be water resisitant but the second you get a drop on it it wont even let you charge. So keep that in mind when your trying to blow it all out just to allow your phone to charge and suddenly you get a message saying sorry cant charge a phone, bc of moisture. Just say the phone isnt water proof stop lieing, not to mention there is already a galaxy s9 out. Not even 1 year later. I for one am actually going to switch and drop the galaxy life for good. Thanks samsung for making a shitty phone

Galaxy 8+,

Posted on: March 29th, 2018 by Fairfax Station

I had a samsung Galaxy 7 and I loved it. I absolutely hate the 8+; Samsung did away with the "back" key and really has left no quicker way to retreat quickly from a butt call or get out of camera mode when you really did want to use the camera. It is simply not as intuitively obvious as was the 7. I hope it will get better because if it does not I will switch an "I" PHONE!

Samsung s8 Battery Life!!

Posted on: March 27th, 2018 by Hazard85

I find myself charging it twice a day, compared to my old edge 7, I much prefer the edge 7 over battery life. No update on the Areo 8.0 in the UK either which also sucks. Phone is a good all round phone but canny help dis the phone for the battery life. Should be able to cut out the apps we don't use for life of battery, them just being there I think kills it. For the expensive of the phone they should have sorted battery life, they put 3600 in the edge but failed to do the seem in the s8, phones are meant to be better than the old phones are they not? Time to get with the time Samsung, more battery power please!!!

S8 camera the undisputed heavy weight champ

Posted on: March 7th, 2018 by m24karat

I have not seen a smart phone camera to date that compares to the s8 main camera. It is without a doubt the best camera in a smart phone i've ever seen to date. The pics it can take are amazing and just as good as my $5000 camera i use for professional photography. It blows away apple in my opinion, Yes apple has some decent phones but ISO is not quite a computer if you ask me they can't be plugged into any PC without having to download itunes which comes with malware that you don't know your installing on your PC and can damage some pc's. It also installs some other apps you don't know your getting that can cause serious issues with system settings in the PC if its not an apple. Androids can be plugged into any PC without a problem with no software to clog up your PC. The processor is killer, 4 gig off ram! And I was sold on the camera immediately. Being in a dark room or outside at night the pictures are crystal clear and can be adjusted with the pro setting it can take some time to figure out if you are not a photographer but still very user friendly. The battery is OK but if you don't have a app killer constantly killing background apps it will drain your battery pretty quick. But this can be controlled, Power battery is my most recommended app killer that keeps apps closed and keeps tabs on the battery. It really does not need any cleaner apps since one is built in. I can't wait for the s9 to come out they are both going to be around the same price? the s8 and s9 at least for a while. I give the s8 5 stars!!!

burnt my fingers buying samsung s*

Posted on: February 23rd, 2018 by pujarajesh

one of the worst phones you can possess. absolutely not durable ,,, nothing in this phone can substantiate its price, The curved screen is more of a liability. there is no guaranty for screen replacement and i have had to pay 14000 to replace my screen within a week of buying it, there is no screen guard available even with Samsung that protects the scree, Samsung is making its money on the screen by ensuring that 1. the screen is fragile 2, there is no guard available in the market 3. the case for the phone makes it difficult for us to use the side screen v v v disappointing is my experience.

Lousy Don't buy! 3 months old has screen burn in and yellow tint on what's supposed to have been HD screen Samsung says that damage won't cover under warranty. I will never buy another Samsung and will move my account asap as At&t won't back what they sale. Do not buy!

Samsung Galaxy S8

Posted on: February 13th, 2018 by NicoleGarciaa

The single good thing i can say about this phone is it has an amazing camera. Definitely the best video and photos I've ever taken. Absolutely not worth purchasing unless you hate yourself and only want good photos that you can't even post anywhere because it will freeze and turn off. The worst phone I have ever owned. I usually buy those cheap phones that are like $100 with no contract and I guess I expected one that costs 8 times that with a contract to be better. Force closes every app I've tried to use. I don't download much. Tinder and Instagram will work less than a minute before it gets too much, over heats and freezes. Worst auto correct I've ever had of any phone, no matter how many times I reset it. Never recognizes my voice for voice to text, always opens up that stupid "Bixby Home" app (which also won't recognize my voice) even though I clicked that I wasn't interested in i. The screen instantly shattered with my first 2 foot drop of it in the first week, so I couldn't return it and am stuck in a contract with it. The person who made Swype work totally different on this phone is the bane of my entire existence. I have never had a phone that made me scream my head off in frustration every time I've ever tried to text or post a photo. I am 25 and have been using cellphones since before the Motorola V3 Razr came out so I'm not just some old lady who doesn't know what they're doing. I've tried numerous things to help clear up the issues with this phone - nothing has worked. I have owned this phone for a few months now and came from using the very similar, Nexus 5x, which I had none of these issues with and also had a good camera but not as great at this phone's.

Bloody awful

Posted on: February 10th, 2018 by Scrotum

It's like trying to hold a wet bar of soap. If you do get one, have a very good phone case first. Mine smashed on day 1 & progressively got worse. And the price to replace the glass is extortionate. Is no good for gamers because of the screen. Keep catching buttons because of the curved screen. And the stupid blixby button. Who thought it was a good idea to put it where it is???? A royal pain in the bottom. Will never have another Samsung because of the S8

Galaxy s8

Posted on: December 23rd, 2017 by Patr1ck

I know the s8 has been out since April and I'm saying this kind of late, but it is the best phone on the market. The battery last me all day on a single charge after having it for several months. I love the design. People say it's hard to reach the fingerprint sensor but I don't have any problem with it. I do have big hands so it is easier to reach the sensor. For me it has been incredibly durable. I like it better than any iPhone I have ever had. I miss the Apple App store. I like it better than Google play, but the s8 is overall the better phone. I know the new google pixel has a better camera and the iPhone X has... well.. you know it's the iPhone X. I personally have not been impressed with iPhone X. The s8 is almost around $400 cheaper and I feel like it's a better phone. I personally feel like the only phone better than the s8 might be the Note 8.
