Samsung S8 slick as ice...in a bad way

Posted on: December 17th, 2018 by rsd

OK I admit that out of the box I was amazed...in a bad way... that anyone would design a phone that would literally slide off a flat table. It is slippery on all sides and will not sit still! Yes, I will get a case for it of course, but if a company makes a phone with such an obvious design flaw, what else is hiding? I have learned through (bad) experience that any device that has an obvious out-of-the-box design flaw has about 100 more flaws just waiting to be discovered. Unless you have a penchant for mysteries, save your $100s and find another.

I preferred my S7 edge - it was much easier to use as it had a button for the Home Page. The S8 has done away with the button, which makes it more confusing and harder to navigate. The S8 takes better photos though - especially in the evenings.

S8 charging issues and mic issues

Posted on: November 5th, 2018 by arosmith68

Not even a year in and phone starts falling apart. Mic keeps cutting out, people on other end have trouble hearing you. Charging port is wonky in that there's suppose to be a fast charge and slow charge option by flipping input the other way but obvious programming issue because it forgets which side is which and will stop fast charging all together. Paired with it's faulty "moisture detection" alert you might have to go a day or so without your phone because it won't allow you to charge. Other that that, phone is great. Just not trust worth when comes to charging or talking on it.

Biggest joke on Samsung fans so far

Posted on: November 3rd, 2018 by Melcom

Whomever designed this phone must hate humans. My last phone was the Galaxy 4 and it blew this one away in design, display, function, quality... and pretty much everything else. It takes over 10 seconds just to get the screen up. The 4 was very fast. I'm tired of Bixby being forced on us. I'm sorry, but not helpful, not user friendly, and more of a burden than anything. And when did our society become so button phobic? The 3 buttons at the bottom weren't hurting anyone, and now we have the lame on screen one we have to pull up, then wait for it to go away so we can use what is under it (SERIOUSLY?!) I can go on for pages but not enough room. And it's not like I haven't given it a chance. I've had it over a year.

Galaxy Samsung S8 Plus

Posted on: October 8th, 2018 by LBarrentine

This is the WORST phone I have ever purchased. I am not sure what part is worse , the phone or the insurance(Assurian). I am now on the third replacement phone after my purchase of the "Brand New" Galaxy S8 Plus. I am so over this phone. The phone they sold me and NEVER gave me the credit for the 7 Edge that I traded in so that I could have an "Upgraded" phone. I never had an issue with the 7 Edge. Just needed to change carriers due to coverage since I had moved to a different location. Now on the third one and it always seems to be a battery issue. Why will they not correct their issue instead of sending out "Re-furbished" phones to the customers who are paying for the insurance. I am so angry right now. This is my work phone and I work on Commission. I was better off using the pay as you go phone and if it broke I bought a new phone. Funny how I never had an issue with the phone (7 Edge) until I bought into a two year contract. Phone turns off on its own. You don't know until you start to use it and it is off. Phone turns off in the middle of the night and then no alarm to wake you for work. Who uses an alarm clock these days? Phone will not charge. Not to mention they sell you a "Cordless charger" that uses the OLD charge plug. and it will not charge unless you take it out of the case. Who takes the phone out of the case every time they need a charge. That was a waste of $50.00. Try texting on the phone. The key board is different and will also just add letters that were never even touched in the typing of the text. This phone gets a big fat ZERO in my rating. BE SMART AND DONT BUY IT!!

Worst phone I've ever had... Sick to death of Pop Up Advertising... Not even 02 can stop it! Some are very explicit... Taking it back & getting a refund!

Samsung Galaxy S8 written by Fiona Hutton

Posted on: September 8th, 2018 by Fee

I got my S8 last year. The reception has only been marked low as it is the area I am in and not the phone. I cannot mark the apps brilliantly as I am not very techno so don't use to its full potential. I have always liked Samsung phones but this one's camera is fantastic. I, unfortunately, became ill at the beginning of the year and am not working due to my health. The camera on this phone takes amazing pictures and I post daily on Instagram. It is my lifeline to the outside world and is helping me as I make myself go out and look around for pictures I can take. I would recommend the phone to anyone as its easy to use and the quality is fab. I would be lost without it. Keep up the good work Samsung. I do hope though at the moment the lifespan is good on this phone. Sorry it's not an in-depth review just needed to share my experience of the phone.

I really hate the curved screen, it's impossible to keep a screen protective glass on it. This results in every time I may drop my phone once or twice a year I have to pay for a whole new one. So I'm left paying 200-400$ a year having to pay Asurion claims. Verizon needs to create a durable case or screen protector for this phone or offer more reasonable insurance

Samsung Galaxy S8

Posted on: June 28th, 2018 by Alberta Canada

I wanted to write and say how disappointed I am in Samsungs latest update. I am constantly being bombarded with Ad popups all over my phone. I thought it was from a game I downloaded but come to find out from other people with the same problem. This is absolutely NOT ok for your company to have done. It's not enough that every app we download we get all these stupid ad popups now our phone OS has to have them too? If this is not corrected and removed I will be changing cell phones. I will no longer be using Samsung which is to bad I love this phone but I hate the ads...remove the ads or lose not only me but thousands more.

Posted on: June 1st, 2018 by INTI_MAN

The ability to send in data from The monthly, anonymous phone activity to the samsong team. Who helps adapt my phone to best help my daily life, is truly helpful. It adapts to your daily activities and helps you in small unexpected ways, so thankyou. In a day, you bettered my life
