Not bad but poorly programmed

Posted on: November 19th, 2007 by Jim Metivier

The good: Very functional if you know where your options are in the menus. Holds signal better than my razor did. Has a remote control function. Not a bad phone once you get used to it and learn the functions. Batteries charge quickly. Windows based helps the learning a little. The bad: Menus very poorly organized. larger than normal learning curve. Not many accessories available. USB cord does not charge unless you plug the home charger into the side of the cord, should charge from USB port instead. poor battery life if you actually use it frequently, but comes with 2 of them. Remote function has VERY limited amount of devices. Don't come with a cig cord and should for the price. confusing to complete any tasks. Charge port cover not attached to phone and falls off.Summary: While I do like the phone a lot the difficult menus make it unpleasant to operate the phone for any little task other than making a call. I like the options it has once I find them and it has lots of features. It drops calls much less in areas my previous phone did on the same service. I do like the external antenna for the fringe areas up in northern Michigan, an option many phones have rid themselves of at some signal expense while out in the country. Audio is good for a phone while playing mp3's or using the speaker phone. Seems to work well with the bluetooth headset option.
