T-Mobile G2x Gingerbread update official, now rolling out over the air
@PhoneDog_Alex

T-Mobile G2x owners, take notice: this morning, the G2x's update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread was finally, finally made official by the folks at T-Mobile. The new software began rolling out over the air yesterday, although users that don't feel like waiting for the update to make it to their neck of the woods can still mosey on over to LG's website right here and install Gingerbread manually. The improvements contained within the G2x Android 2.3 update are:
- Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS
- Improved battery life
- Improved front-facing camera operation when using Qik record and share
- Improved disabling Car Home
- Helps address unexpected reboots
Sure, the G2x's update to Gingerbread has been available through LG's Mobile Support Tool for a few days now, but it's still exciting to see everything made nice and official by T-Mobile. As always, we'd love to hear how the update's working for all of you G2x owners out there, so be sure to let us know when the OTA finally hits your handset!
