Samsung Galaxy Camera AT&T

After AT&T teased the Samsung Galaxy Camera's impending launch on its network last month, the big blue carrier today revealed exactly when the Android-powered shooter will be arriving and how much it'll cost when it does. The Galaxy Camera will be landing on AT&T's shelves this Friday, November 16, with a price tag of $499.99. The Galaxy Camera can be added to an AT&T Mobile Share plan for $10 per month and is also compatible with one of AT&T's individual DataConnect plans, which offer 250MB of data for $15 per month, 3GB for $30 or 5GB for $50.

Originally announced in late August, the Samsung Galaxy Camera features a 4.77-inch HD Super Clear LCD display, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 8GB storage, microSD slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. When it comes to the camera part of the Galaxy Camera, there's a 16-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor and a 21x optical zoom. AT&T's model also features 4G support. There's no mention of "LTE" in today's announcement, so it seems that AT&T is referring to HSPA+ connectivity.

AT&T also reiterated that customers can receive up to $100 off of the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy device, including the Galaxy Camera, when bought alongside a Galaxy smartphone with a two-year contract. The promotion will run "for a limited time." While the Galaxy Camera's isn't a cheap piece of hardware, the device looks like an interesting option for anyone in the market for an actual camera to add to their gadget arsenal, especially for folks that are already on AT&T.
