It's been a while since the HTC EVO 4G LTE was treated to a software update, but a newly-leaked image has shown that that may change tomorrow. An image sent to Android Police claims that the EVO 4G LTE's update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be made available for customer-initiated download starting tomorrow, December 13, while a network push will begin the week of January 3. Along with a bump to Jelly Bean, the update is said to include HTC's Sense 4+ overlay, improvements to the camera capabilities and gallery as well as a fix to a bug with personalized ringtones. Here's the full list of changes that's said to be coming in the EVO 4G LTE's 3.15.651.16 update:
Customers that want to try and initiate the update process tomorrow can do so by going into Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check Now. It's worth noting that Android Police explains that this image came from a tipster that has yet to establish him/herself as reliable, though there is a link to DARA in the image, which is a Sprint web portal. There's also always a chance that something could happen at the last minute that would push this update's release back. For now, EVO 4G LTE owners may want to take a few grains of freshly-cracked sea salt and hope that Thursday a tasty Jelly Bean treat in addition to getting them one day closer to the weekend.
