Not a big fan of the BlackBerry 10 R10/R-Series in white or red? Perhaps black will be up your alley. The unannounced R-Series device has shown its face for the third time in the past month, this time appearing in black on the Chinese forum DGtle and on BBin. Unsurprisingly, the phone looks fairly similar to the white and red models, complete with a square display and physical QWERTY keyboard.
BlackBerry fans will be glad to learn that the source of these images also shared some of the R10's spec list. According to the leaker, the R10 packs a 3.1-inch 720x720 display (just like the Q10), 5-megapixel rear camera, front-facing shooter, 8GB storage, 2GB RAM and an 1,800mAh non-removable battery. The handset is said to be running BlackBerry 10.1.
The BlackBerry R10 is expected to be a mid-range, Curve-like entry in the BlackBerry 10 device portfolio, and the spec list that's surfaced today certainly seems to back that up. It's still another BlackBerry 10 phone with a physical keyboard, though, and its mid-range feature set ought to make it a bit more affordable than its Q10 sibling, meaning that more folks will be able to get in on the QWERTY BB10 action. Unfortunately, there's still no word on exactly when the R10 will be launching or how much it'll cost when it does. Good thing that we've got all of these leaked photos to keep us occupied until an official announcement happens.
