Yesterday T-Mobile officially revealed Binge On, its new program that’ll let customers stream video from 24 different services without using their high-speed data allotment. One detail that you might’ve missed in all of the excitement, though, is that the pricing for T-Mobile’s plans are changing a bit.
With the new Simple Choice Amped plans, T-Mobile is doubling the high-speed data allotments of its old Simple Choice plans, but it’s also tweaking some of the prices. Here’s what the new plan pricing looks like:
It’s also worth noting that if you have multiple lines on a family plan, Family Match will negate these price increases if all of the lines on a plan get the same monthly allotment. So if you have a multiple lines all with unlimited high-speed data, line 1 will cost $80, line 2 will cost $60, and each additional line will cost $40, just as before.
T-Mobile mentioned these pricing changes yesterday, but they seem to have gotten missed with all of the other big announcements that were made. These new Simple Choice Amped plans will go live on November 15, but you won’t be forced to switch to them unless you want the Binge On free video streaming.
