NO Problems.

Posted on: October 4th, 2007 by Lonnie Daniel

The good: I have the best rates in my area and I've never had connection problems outside of the occasional dead area unless I get off into the hills away from the Metro Atlanta areaThe bad: They won't match deals for phones that are cheaper on the internet. Summary: I have always gotten the best deal from T-Mobile and would recommend them to anyone. My wife even switched from Cingular a year ago after she saw how much better my deal was than hers.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

Posted on: October 2nd, 2007 by marge schoenewald

The good: THERE ARE NO PROS TO THIS COMPANY- The bad: EVERY LAST THING THEY DOSummary: This is the most horrendous service I have ever encountered with a nationwide company. Absolutely horrible customer service, no supervisors to speak with- and the customer service reps have noidea of who the CEO of the company is. The hold times are so long Ican get a shower and still be on hold. Bismal service. I have changed numbers twice and still my callers are getting a land line in Columbus ohio. I dont reccommend this company to anyone.

The good: nice selection of free phones. The bad: NO SIGNAL IN MOST PLACES, BAD RECEPTION ALMOST ANYWHERE.Summary: IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO GET A CELLPHONE, JUST GET FROM VERIZON OR AT&T. RECEPTION IS SOO BAD HERE IN NYC AND NJ ITS LIKE YOU'RE TALKING TO SOMEONE FROM MARS. IT GETS MY BLOOD PRESSURE UP ALL THE TIME, SOMETIMES IT JUST MAKES ME WANT TO THROW THIS STUPID PHONE OUT THE WINDOW.

Deceptive International Roaming Practices

Posted on: September 17th, 2007 by Helene Carter

The good: newest phones and PDAsThe bad: high prices, self-righteous approach to customer serviceSummary: I'll make this brief. On 2 occasions TMobile has screwed me in what I find to be deceptive practices. #1) While roaming in South Africa, I was charged for inbound telephone calls that i DID NOT answer and which always went to voice mail. I thought that was unfair as I never answered the phone, aware of the prohibitive $2/minute charges. Long story short, it took until I spoke to someone in the President's office to explain that when a call is made (and not answered), the CUSTOMER has to pay to have the call routed back to voice mail in the US. How would the customer ever know this? End result: Case closed and I got a measly $13 credit on my bill.#2) While roaming in Vancouver, Canada I used my wireless modem card for about 30 minutes. When I got my bill I was hit with a $140 fee for 30 mins of surfing. Shocked, I called to find out why. All they could say was that I had to agree to the pop up that said "roaming charges apply" before it would connect. What they DID NOT SAY is how much those roaming fees would be. Surely anyone in their right mind would have found an Internet cafe if needing that much bandwidth. I spoke to one rep who said a supervisor would call back and never did. I talked to a second rep who told me there was nothing they can do. End result: I still consider the case open and am out the $140 plus taxes.Final comment:The customer service reps I spoke to were all OK. It wasn't their fault that the company is not clear and specific in all of its customer touchpoints. Burying roaming charges well into the website and NOT AT POINT OF PURCHASE is akin to going to a normal restaurant and then being presented with a check for $1400 for dinner for two and saying that the prices, while not in the menu, were on the bathroom door. This is just ludicrous.Remember Lily Tomlin from the Laugh In show years ago "We don't have to care - we're the phone company." Well that?s TMobile today. Until this has been resolved to my satisfaction ($140 credit on my bill), I cannot recommend this company to any person who travels frequently internationally. Additionally, full pricing must be disclosed in real time at every customer touchpoint. According to my lawyer, not doing so is pure deception and worthy of legal investigation. If you have had similar problems, please contact me and we?ll consider a class action lawsuit.

I Love these guys!!

Posted on: September 12th, 2007 by Chelsee Anderton

The good: I love the serice I get, they are always trying to find me the cheapest plans, they have always given great support for my phones. when something has gone wrong and cost me money they have refunded me. and keep in mind I am only one person not a family plan or corporate.. just me. the reception is alway perfect. The bad: The phoes themselves and the warranty going out too soon (my fault for not getting extended)Summary: I am so happy with t-mobile as my provider they have been nothing but nice to me and taken care of every need I've had with my service. I have had other providers and didn't stick with them long I have been with t-mobile for 5 years now and don't have any plans on switching

Outrageously Bad Customer Service

Posted on: August 23rd, 2007 by A Smith

The good: lower priced plan if you don't use your cell phone that oftenThe bad: Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encounteredSummary: When I moved to a new area, I wanted to keep my T-Mobile account, but simply get a new phone number. After calling customer service, they gave me a new number. Funny, it never worked. So after a few days, I called back. After being accused of being a complete imbecile because I did not have a working cell phone number (not my fault by the way, but that didn't stop the insults) and did not have a "ticket number" (again, never got one when they just changed my number), they told me that they couldn't do anything for me, and I would have to call back to talk to someone else another day! What?!? I have never heard of that response before. So, I did call back, and the person who answered told me that I had changed the number too many times and that my phone would no longer work. Mind you, I had one number when I originally bought the phone 2 years ago. Moved a thousand miles away. Asked and received (I thought) a new phone number. So, getting your number changed ONCE seems to be too many times and the customer service rep told me I would have to buy a new SIM card to get my phone to work. Not only did she blame me for the number not working and now my phone not working, she also wanted me to buy additional items so that, I can only anticipate, they would screw up my phone again in the future? No thank you. So I politely told them that I would never be a T-Mobile customer again, and then promptly wrote this review. What little respect this company has for the very people that keep it in business!

Expensive, shoddy service horrible cust service

Posted on: August 6th, 2007 by Michael Philips

The good: Not much, I hate this company - stay away! The bad: Spotty service, horrible customer service, expensiveSummary: I went and stayed with T-Mobile for a year and now I hate them for the way they treat their customers. Reception is spotty at best in most areas of LA. I have paid them over $800 for a year of Family Plan service only to be sent another bill for $2.40 (!) due to THEIR MISTAKE(!) after I properly disconnected. If it's worth it to them to squeeze me for another $2.40 after all the money I paid them I don't want to do business with this co. Avoid, STAY AWAY!

Untrustworthy

Posted on: July 28th, 2007 by Andie Schomaker

The good: cheaper plansThe bad: Horrible service- We bought this plan while living in California only after being promised by Tmobile that they had great reception in the Lynchburg area- knowing that we would be visiting the area or possibly moving there. When we did move we had horrible service... numerous dropped calls... Our voicemail wouldnt work and when people did try to call there would be a network error. There was a point where one day 25 voicemails showed up at once- many of them from interviews and potential jobs Summary: When my contract is up in one month i will find a good provider

Love them!

Posted on: July 25th, 2007 by Emily -

The good: Outstanding Customer Service, Great Plan options! The bad: No service in underground Metro stationsSummary: I had AT&T before they were Cingular, and they were great, until they became Cingular. I paid the fee to cancel my contract with them, and went to T-Mobile for the Sidekick3. Best move ever! The customer service is so helpful! My rate is cheaper than with Cingular, and Im getting a lot more for it! (unlimited text, email, I.M., internet, 1000 anytime mins, and Unlimited night and weekend. for $62 a month!) I recommend them to everyone.
