Aaron unboxes the BlackBerry Torch 9850, one of the three new devices announced by RIM last month. Specifications include a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.7-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, and BlackBerry 7. It's a replacement to the Storm series, but it's substantially thinner with a nice performance bump to boot. At $149.99, is it priced to sell in a lineup that includes the Motorola PHOTON 4G and the HTC EVO 3D?

Eddie Kidd
Eddie Kidd Sure would! US Cellular had one out today. It is a very smooth and fast device. Fits perfectly in my hand especially in landscape mode. Currently have Verizon and staying there because of service so if Verizon gets it soon, I'm on board, if not, I'm considering the Bionic--if it ever shows up!
Darryl Mouzone
Darryl Mouzone No.
Rigan Ace Torres
Rigan Ace Torres I would try it. I've had blackberrys before and I like them. I have the iPhone 4. Sensation 4g and the nexus s. And the bb are up there with them. Bravo to rim. Keep up the good work.

Steve Moore
Steve Moore Note to manufacturers: a little heft, mix in a little glass and metal is a good thing! You cheap bastiches!!
Ed Plnia
Ed Plnia I got a Evo 4G and used to own the Evo 3D, I also got BlackBerry 9780,9700 and mytouch 4G, I used to have the HTC sensation and HTC thunderbolt and I will tell you the only different between Android and blackberry. Android are fancy phone that doesn't last half of the day without having to charge it, but it have adobe flash, BlackBerry have 10 time better battery but don't have adobe flash. For me if RIM get adobe flash and better camera at least 8mp I wouldn't be using this Evo phone. But bold 9780 take better picture than the junk Evo 3D. The only phone that I used to owned with good camera was T-Mobile G2x.
Kevin Song
Kevin Song I would only get the new blackberry torch if it has a dual core processor with 1gb of ram, decent battery life, and plenty of storage.
Luis Arturo Batista Aquino
Luis Arturo Batista Aquino Noooo
Steve Moore
Steve Moore It's all plastic besides the battery door, which looks to be made of tinfoil with a rubberized coating... Samsung Galaxy devices seem cheap as hell, but that one takes the cake...

Reese Woodson
Reese Woodson I think the Torch 9810 is the best of all of them because it's like a hybrid of the Bold and the Torch 9850. Plus it's the cheapest one too.
Lorenzo Campbell
Lorenzo Campbell Urrrgh! No! Tested it out don't like. Still don't understand why they made it smaller than the Storms. The Bold 99z and Torch 9810 are better choices
Tim Fuhrmann

Sukhwinder Singh Natt no
Jason Renfro
Jason Renfro Heck ya!!! I've played this device whith this dev before it was rumored and the OS is litterally fluid. As long as your able to be as smart as your smartphone you can't beat its networking skills. With these new faster processors in the bb's now wewill see a boost in developers on the RIM fanboy side to start competing with ios and android!!! They are finnally getting idea of stay on the game and draw new users and retain old one by finally improving te UI to a everyone and thir childen can organize their life.......sry ill step off my soap box now RIM FTW

Mandy Brownberry

Erica Reid no
Mustafa Sidiqee
Mustafa Sidiqee BB BLOWS
Steve Hartsock
Steve Hartsock I'd give it a shot. It can't be as much of a cluster as Android.
Thomas Benjamin Robbins
Thomas Benjamin Robbins I'm a previous BB User and tech enthusiast. Ive used the Thunderbolt, Droid X, HTC Merge, and by the looks of the new BB Bold. I definitely want it. Ive always wanted BB to have a higher processor, better camera, and web browsing. Which Android has proven to have and Ive enjoyed using this platform. However the new Bold is so so sexy, professional, and there is no matching that keyboard. I guarantee anyone who gives the new Bold a chance will think twice.
Raul Salas
Raul Salas I feel bad for you having to unbox and spend time messing around with that Blackberry Torch.
Tarun Khatwani
Tarun Khatwani are you joking? :(
Jonathan Delarosa
