Heads up, AT&T-ers: after months of leaks, the HTC Jetstream is finally launching on your network on September 4th. Priced at $699.99 with a two-year contract, the Jetstream features a 10.1-inch WXGA display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 1080p HD video capture, 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, 7,300mAh battery, HSPA+ and LTE connectivity, and Android 3.1 beneath HTC Sense. The Jetstream also features HTC Scribe support and, through October 15th, AT&T and HTC will be offering the Scribe digital pen free of charge with the purchase of a Jetstream.
Plan pricing for the Jetstream includes $14.99/250MB and $25/2GB options, with the latter including an overage fee of $10 per gigabyte. AT&T also announced a new $35/3GB monthly plan, but that option is only available to customers that agree to a two-year contract.
Overall the Jetstream sounds like a pretty nice Android 3.1 device, and I'm sure that many folks are going to be thrilled that HTC has finally released a 10-inch tablet. That's not the only claim to fame that the Jetstream has, though, as it also has the honor of being the first LTE tablet to hit AT&T. Claiming so many firsts comes with a price, though, so be prepared to open your wallet wide when it comes time to head to the cash register with your new Jetstream.
