HTC has announced that as part of its HTC Advantage program, it will upgrade all versions of both the One (M7) and One (M8) within 90 days of receiving the final Android L code from Google. Google said earlier today that it expects to launch Android L to the public sometime in the fall.
The One (M7) and One (M8) are two of the biggest smartphones in HTC’s history, so it’s not a shock to learn that the company plans to update them to the next major version of Android. Still, it’s nice to get confirmation of HTC’s plans so quickly after Android L’s announcement. Now we just have to wait for Android L to actually hit manufacturer’s hands, and then you One (M7) and One (M8) owners will be rocking the new software within 3 months.
