Amazingly horrible, terrible beyond belief customer service

Posted on: May 16th, 2010 by Queixa Samba

The good: cheapThe bad: Customer service is the absolute worst I've ever encountered. You just cannot believe how terrible it is.Summary: You look at all these reviews. The ones who like Net10 never had to call customer service. Those who have called customer service uniformly say it is amazingly, horribly dreadful beyond belief. We literally spent over 15 HOURS and more than 3 weeks just getting the phone to work. Then it was stolen. I called tonight to report it stolen. The first "customer service" representative said they could not do anything for me unless I took a picture of the phone and sent it to them. I asked to speak to a supervisor. A 15 minute on-hold. Disconnected. I called back. ANOTHER 15-minute on-hold. I tell the supervisor that the phone was stolen. The first thing she asks: "Do you have the phone with you now?"

You cant touch this

Posted on: May 13th, 2010 by Timmy Bran

The good: Reliable, Cheap, Honest, InnovativeThe bad: Not the worlds fastest CSSummary: have used net10 for about 3 years now and think it will take a world war for me to change. I have come to rely on net10 as a small to medium business owner. We are a small transport company and have a few drivers. Net10 really is the greatest thing. It cuts our operational costs by about 80% in the communications department due to driver abuse of phones.

Ughhhhhh

The good: Cheap phone and cheap minutesThe bad: Cheap phone and minutes that you can`t use reliably.Summary: If you are a light user who can get away without using a cell phone then NET10 is perfect for you. If you need a reliable cell phone then Net10 is not for you. If you have a full head of hair but are considering the bald look - then NET10 customer will help you achieve your goal. Only tech savvy individuals should purchase these phone as you will be required to lend the customer service reps your expertise. Sell your soul to some other mobile provider otherwise Jose from Net10 customer service will deliver you into damnation.

Amazingly dreadfully terribly awful customer service

Posted on: April 26th, 2010 by Queixa Samba

The good: cheapThe bad: Amazingly dreadfully terribly awful customer serviceSummary: Got two phones about a month ago. Finally, as of today, one of the two seems to be working properly at the moment. The other one is still messed up. We have spent literally hours on the phone with "customer service". The representatives are uninformed, difficult to understand (heavy accents), sometimes do not seem to understand what we are saying, have to check with the supervisor repeatedly, will not transfer you to a supervisor if requested, cannot seem to solve the problems. I don't think I've ever encountered customer service as terrible as Net10.

Best prepaid IMHO

Posted on: April 26th, 2010 by Kevin Slim

The good: Low rates. No BS. No daily charges. Free roaming. No hidden fees. No contract. Great phones. Excellent network coverage with great call quality. The bad: Customer service can be tricky.Summary: I switched over from a contract and was impressed after the first month already that my cell expenses had dropped by 50%. I have very few call related problems - mostly in places where I couldn't make any calls before anyway. NET10 got rid of a lot of the rip-off tactics some of the other carriers use to gouge their customers. Their only flaw is their less-than-stellar CS. I've found that if I get a rep on the other side that can't understand what I want in the first 30seconds, it's best to hang up and try again. Fortunately I've only had to phone CS a couple of times in 6 months.

Good enough and inexpensive

Posted on: April 25th, 2010 by Kkkkkkk Ttttttt

The good: Good receptionSimpleInexpensiveThe bad: No cameraSummary: I have been pretty happy for the past 6 months with my LG300 phone and Net10 service. I live in San Francisco and have traveled to New York -- no problem with the reception so far. My calling needs are very simple though-- I use about 5 mins a day and am okay with this very simple phone. I have been able to spend no more than $15 each month to upkeep this phone.

Helps alot!!!!!

Posted on: April 24th, 2010 by Sinead Queiros

The good: Good phones, Long battery life, cheap minutes, Very good emergence phones. The bad: Cs can be a little troublesome, but you can get around them easily if you trySummary: We have 3 net10 phones we keep for emergences in the two cars and one in the house. They are just in case phones, But we do use them at least several times amount in the cars as my husbands company give us free regional phones, they don?t work out of the city we live in and there is never signal anywhere, when there is they charge us so much. Net10 is great most of the time with few problems.

Love it

Posted on: March 31st, 2010 by Jon Diaz

The full keyboard is a great benefit. The two free months and 300 minutes to start was nice and the flat rate is doable. Is great for my kids, its a cool enough phone for them and the service saves me alot of money compared to contracts for them.

The good: The affordability of the serviceThe bad: The fact that everybudy doesn't know of the serviceSummary: I have been using Net10 for 1 year and 6 months now and really appreciate the service. I never have any dropped calls. As my mother is in a nursing home now it is nice to have a phone and be accessible to her at all times. Net10 is great for reliablitity.

Best Prepaid Service

Posted on: March 29th, 2010 by Jenna Mays

Net10 is by far one of the top prepaid services out there today. It even received the JD Power Award for "best no-contract experience". For just 10 cents per minute and 3 cents per text, I am saving tons - especially compared to my old monthly contract. Its perfect for me too because it keeps me in touch with my family for a great price!
