Posted on: July 7th, 2007 by Tom Byrnes

The good: My contract is up and I can leave. The bad: Lousy customer service, lots of dropped calls, mediocre handsets, they extend your contract every time you make a change, I could go on.Summary: Sprint is awful. I've had them for 10 years, and have had enough.

Sprint not supported in Lansing, MI

Posted on: July 7th, 2007 by Rae Black

I've had Sprint for about a year & a half now. I'm currently on my 3rd phone due to the fact that the first 2 were defective. My current one is too, but I didn't find out in time to exchange it. I've basically just been buying my time until I can get out of my contract. In Lansing Sprint service is just awful. Around 90% of my calls are dropped, generally with seconds of me receiving my call. My voice mails sometimes take weeks to catch up to my phone & ocassionally just disappear into the ether. Because I'm in a family plan it would cost us $200 per phone (3 phones) to get out of the contract, so we're stuck.

Extremely bad phone service as well as customer service

Posted on: June 28th, 2007 by r b

The good: NONEThe bad: SeveralSummary: I got Sprint service in Jun 2006. I paid a fortune for the Palm 700p phone. I have nothing but problems. The phone cord did not work, when I complained the manager of the store gave me a run around until I escalated the problem to area manager, I was given a new cord. I had no connection whatsoever in my home. The customer service went in circle unable to resolve the issue and I am stuck in a 2 yr contract. Last night I logged into my Sprint online account and discovered that my contract date is extended by 5 months. When I called in customer service, Veronica at the other end was extremely rude and they put me into the regular queue when I requested to speak with a Supervisor. The original contract that I signed clearly states the early termination fee $150 but she insisted that it was $200. Extremely bad bad service. I normally do not give bad reviews but this one deserved it.

Signal Quality & Customer Service Can't Possibly any Worse

Posted on: June 14th, 2007 by Curtis Gray

The good: I like the Contacts, Notes applications, and Love the Bubble Breaker game that came with the phone. The bad: Where do I start. Signal strength makes the cell phone function of this phone absolutely useless. Customer service runs a close second.Summary: I purchased the PCS PPC-6700 from Sprint in July of last year, (2006) after the poor customer service I had received from Verizon. By Choosing Sprint I could not have made a worse decision. Living on Whidbey Island in the Northwest corner of Washington State this cell phone is absolutely useless. Because of the weak signal strength I drop more than 50% of all calls made from inside any building. When the calls are not dropped, they are so spotty and of such poor quality that I must step outdoors to find a location with adequate signal strength. Living near a Naval Air base I have to contend with aircraft or road noise from passing cars to have a conversation. Oh, did I fail to mention that we also get a fair amount of rain during the fall and winter months here in the Northwest. Standing in the rain to make stable non-dropped calls is not my idea of good service. My only other option is to use my land lines.I contacted Sprint customer service to inquire about a solution to these problems. Their solution is as follows. They recommended that I purchase a ?zBoost YX510 Dual-Band Signal Booster? from my local Radio Shack at a cost of $399.99. If I were to choose that option they were willing to give me a discount on my monthly billing for six months Well, needless to say I couldn?t wait to run out and purchase that $400.00 signal booster and add it to the $349.00 PPC 6700 phone I had already paid for. I?m now at $749.00 for my phone and the equipment to make it useable. Oh, there I go again. I almost forgot one the most important new features I would have if I had chosen to use their recommended solution. Since that new handy-dandy Dual-Band signal booster is considered a base station I would have to set it up in some stationary location, thus converting my once mobile telephone into basically a land line phone using a cellular network. But wait, there?s more!Oh Irony of Irony?s. Just when you think that things can?t possibly get any weirder, I received a call from a Sprint Wireless sales person, she had a beautiful voice, telling me of an improved phone package they were now offering. It included a new smart phone upgrade for just $49.00. Her sultry voice had put me into a swoon, and just as I was about to say yes, my phone dropped the call.

SPRINT AWAY!

Posted on: June 14th, 2007 by E PICKERING

The good: STORES LOCATED IN MANY ACCESSABLE PLACES.The bad: ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY, LYING! Summary: THE COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THE EMPLOYEES SAY, EVEN IF IT MEANS LOSING MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS. CUSTOMER CARE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE NOT ON THIS COMPANY'S PRIORITY LIST! YOU MUST INFORM THEM TO STOP YOUR CONTRACT OR THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW YOU AND LOCK YOU INTO ANOTHER ONE! ALSO, THEY HAVE SOLD REFURBISHED USED PHONES AT A DISCOUNT AND THEN ALSO SIGN YOU UP FOR AN ADD'L 2 YEARS. THEY LIED TO US & TOLD US IF WE WOULD BUY THE USED PHONE, THEN THERE WOULD BE NO CONTRACT REQUIREMENT. WE SIGNED NO NEW AGREEMENTS, YET THE EMPLOYEE WAS ABLE TO ELECTRONICALLY SIGN US UP, GET HIS COMMISSION & SCREW US FOR 2 MORE YEARS AND WE HAVE THE OUTDATED, USED PHONE!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Posted on: June 9th, 2007 by Jack Barrett

The good: NOTHINGThe bad: The worst customer service I've ever experienced.Summary: I tried using their toll free number and found myself being disconnected numerous times and being connected to people who could only read from a script like a robot. I spent hours trying to disconnect my service. They continued sending me bills for services I didn't have. It took months and threats of legal action to get it taken care of. It was a total nightmare. I wouldn't wish Sprint on my worst enemy. They're the worst phone company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I honestly don't understand how they stay in business or keep from being prosecuted.

Ugh....

Posted on: June 8th, 2007 by Kaylena McIntosh

The good: noneThe bad: everything about themSummary: Well, where to start....When I first signed up for sprint everything was fine....until I got my first bill. My plan was only $40/month but my bill was always fluctuating between $50 and $90 a month. Everytime I called customer service, no one spoke english, and they could never offer an answer to why it was never the same. They constantly called my cell phone trying to sell me things I didnt want, and were always very agressive and pushy. After 6 months i paid my $150 to cancel out my contract. I will NEVER go back!

Had no problems

Posted on: May 21st, 2007 by Gail K

The good: I've used Sprint for 8 years and have had no problems. The bad: The first time at their store, wondering why I was not being waited on, I finally realized a computer was there to greet you and you were to type your name in to be "put in line" for a CSR.Summary: I've always reached an informed, English speaking CSR. I rarely have dropped calls or go into "roam" (except at Target for some reason, but not during several road trips from FL to OH). FYI: I've changed my plan several times (usually adding more minutes) and every time I do, the 2-yr. contract is renewed from that point on. I share with my 16-year-old who normally has over 1,000 text messages and 500 calls a month. I added $15 for unlimited texting (vs. $.15 per message) to her phone and a $7 warranty, as she has broken several phones. When her phone was stolen in January, I made a phone call and a new (refurbished) phone arrived within days. One time the store promised I would not be charged a $36 activation fee. When it showed up on my bill and I called to complain, the CSR sent me a text message telling me how to get out of paying the $36. (He said he couldn't "tell" me this on the phone - wild, huh? He probably doesn't work there anymore!) I found this website by Googling Sprint and "Fair and Flexible" as I suspected it was cancelled and my contract will be up in a few months. If I have to go back to "guessing" how many minutes we'll be using per month, I may end up changing carriers as our minute situation seems to change from month to month and I refuse to pay $45 vs. $5 for 100 more minutes. (P.S.: I started [in 1999] with one phone w/60 minutes at about $30/month. This last bill [04/07] was $134. w/2 phones: 926 anytime min., 894 nite/wkend min., 348 Sprint to Sprint min., $15 for daughter's text messages, $7 for her warranty, $5 for anytime minutes starting at 7:00 p.m.; $4.20 for my text messaging, and $1.79 for a 411 call. [Hope this helps.])

Sprint Service

Posted on: May 15th, 2007 by Daydrea Junde

The good: Buy new phone from telesales have it 2 day air, easy to pay my bill, basically as long as I didn't have any problems with my service or phone, Sprint was great. The bad: Customers service *2 is a joke, too many dropped calls to count just in the last year, service fees & taxes are highSummary: In the end paid $80 for two lines with only 800 minutes to share, upon using the information given to me by Sprint on how to return an unwanted item I was lied to, mislead, & found myself frustrated upon trying to utilize customer service. If your looking for unskilled, inappropriate, behavior then Sprint is your company.
