Disappointing Use

Posted on: August 24th, 2006 by janet greever

The good: No contract; good phoneThe bad: Have used one before that came with Nokia phone. Now we have a Motorola and reception has been poor, many calls have been dropped, people unable to reach usSummary: This is a good phone to use just for traveling. However, you cannot count on consistent service if you plan to use it in just one area.

Tracfone: The Way to Go Cellular

Posted on: August 22nd, 2006 by Carolyn Sellito

The good: No contract, service and signal are excellent. Minute cost is low if you purchase the higher minute count, no hidden fees, many current phone styles and models to choose from. The bad: If you are constantly on your cellphone, then prepaid is not the way to go, as it can eat up your minutes fairly quickly. Summary: I have had a Tracfone phone for over six years. I update to a newer phone, port my phone number over, and have never had a problem getting a signal. I pay one charge for all minutes, including roaming and long distance, and I have no hidden fees (connection fee, usage fee, nothing).. everything, even taxes, is included. They have a multitude of phones to choose from, with graphics, wallpapers, ringtones, the works. I wouldn't change for the world.

tracfone

The good: good for emergencies onlyThe bad: signal is not so great in many counties of NYSSummary: I don't know if I can write fifty words or more on these Tracfones, but here goes....First of all, they have raised the price of the yearly card from eighty nine dollars to ninty nine dollars. Granted it is still the cheapest deal around, but, as they say, you get what you pay for. I once spent an hour on the phone with one of the service reps in trying to solve an issue. This seemed to me too long.

Tracfone Wireless

Posted on: August 17th, 2006 by Nancy Cantrell

The good: No Monthly BillsMinutes RolloverYou only have to buy a new card every 60 days and wonderful Customer Service. The bad: NoneSummary: I have been with Tracfone for several years and I really have not experienced any problems with their service. If I have had a question about anything at all they have been wonderful in getting my questions answered . I would reccomend Tracfone Wireless to anyone that does not want the hassle of paying a monthly bill.

Great for Emergiencies & for those with limited calling

Posted on: August 17th, 2006 by Patty Hale

The good: Prepaid service that displays the minutes left and is very reliable. Service can be for 60 days up to a year. You keep the same phone number if your service does not expire. Calls always go through. The bad: This is not a plan for those who talk a lot.Summary: Tracfone is a great service for those wanting a prepaid plan. The phones are good for emergencies and are not expensive to keep connected. But if you place many calls, the service can be expensive compared to other prepaid plans.

Tracfone wireless

Posted on: August 14th, 2006 by Wendy Collins

The good: Cheap and you can buy cards and keep up with your calling time so you can manage your minutes without a contract. The bad: The customer service stinks.Phone does not have good reception up in the hills and hits dead spots constantly. I strongly suggest if you do use this that you use it in a big town, small towns, forget it. Summary: Tracfone needs to work with it's Customer Care service AND they need to work on doing what they say they will on the refferals. Each and everytime that I have tried to refer people to get my 100 minutes, I have had to call and raise cain because they NEVER send the minutes.

My Tracfone

Posted on: August 13th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: It's very affordable, you only spend what you want and don't waste money. The bad: You have to watch your minutes a little closer than you would with a plan.Summary: I like my tracfone a lot more than my old cellular one phone. I spent a lot of money and didn't use it that often. Now I just pay as I go and don't have to worry about monthly charges.
